St James Church, Silsden

Welcome to St James Anglican Church, Silsden

Our church is a Church of England parish church for Silsden in the diocese of Leeds, Bradford area.  More than just a building, it is also a constantly evolving group of ordinary people following the way marked out by Jesus Christ.

.Services as from 11th April: 9.30 am Holy Communion IN Church and on Zoom, 10.30: Zoom

There will be one service in the church building from 11th April – at 9.30am. It will be a said service.

There needs to be a limit of 20 people who can attend in the church building (we should be able to use the church hall for those who come in excess of the 20 limit – broadcasting the service to the screen in the hall)

The service will also be available to ‘attend’ virtually (from home on a computer or by phone by Zoom)

We will also have an online service by Zoom at 10.30am

There is no booking system for those who want to attend the 9.30am service from 11th April. The PCC encourages  anyone who can access either service (9.30am in the building, 10.30am online only) by computer, to do so please. That way those who have not been accessing our worship services during lockdown will, in practice, have priority for coming to the church building so that they can attend worship again.

There will be no coffee

  • Entrance through the south porch door – the church hall is the exit
  • Masks to be worn
  • Sanitise hands
  • Sit in seats indicated by welcomer to comply with social distancing.
  • One way system around church – towards altar on right hand side, across the front, away from altar on left hand side
  • Depart via the church hall

Ephesians 6 v 18 encourages us ….”And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.” If you have any prayer requests, email

and these requests will be included in our prayers.
